A letter can speak what is left unspoken.

To my border,

When I first met you, I promised you to put you before myself, before my family, I promised to protect you at any cost, I was worried about only you all the time, you completely owned me.

I stood there with a gun in my hand looking beyond you so that nobody harms you, nobody trespasses you.

I was only concerned about you not even my life but then I betrayed you. It was all good until I made a mistake of falling in love.

Now I know loving can hurt me so much. Now when I leave to come near you, I have pair of eyes crying for me.

I can’t assure her that I’ll be back, the only thing I say is smile and wait for me to come home.

We preserve all our beautiful memories in the photograph because we only know that’s where I can never leave her hand and where time will never fade away and where our hearts won’t stop loving and where our lips won’t stop smiling.

Now I believe that loving hurts but love is what keeps me alive when I am away from you.

Yours broken soldier.
